People

I write about the people I've seen, and paint them.
We are like you, and you are like us.

“ Memory is a privilege.

To remember, one needs something to remember, and a place to keep it like a piece of furniture, a house.

He has neither memories to remember, nor objects, nor a house to hold them.

Instead, he chose freedom.

Or perhaps… he was chosen by it.

In return, he seems to fill that emptiness with clothes swollen to their fullest, meeting our gaze as if with confidence.

Such a man can never become a prince.

We cannot, like him, carry memories crumpled into our pockets and just simply go on. “
